Author Guidelines

INDOTERA: Indonesian Dissemination of Engineering and Applied Technology Research Applications accepts scholarly manuscripts in the form of original research articles, literature reviews, case studies, or community service reports related to the application and innovation of applied technologies. Submitted manuscripts must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Manuscripts may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English, using proper and formal language.

  • All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer-review process by at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript, including data accuracy and originality.

2. Scope of Manuscripts

Submissions may include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Applied Technology (industry, agriculture, energy, transportation, environment, etc.)

  • Digital Innovation and Smart Systems (AI, IoT, big data, cloud computing, intelligent systems)

  • Engineering and Technical Fields (electrical, mechanical, civil, mechatronics, etc.)

  • Educational Technology and Vocational Training

  • Technological Entrepreneurship and MSMEs

  • Social and Humanitarian Technologies

  • Knowledge Dissemination and Technology Transfer

3. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. Title (maximum 16 words)

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s)

  3. Abstract (150–200 words, accompanied by 3–5 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Research Methodology / Approach

  6. Results and Discussion

  7. Conclusion and Recommendations

  8. Acknowledgments (if applicable)

  9. References

4. Writing Format

  • Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word, A4 paper size, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.

  • The length of the manuscript should be between 6 to 12 pages, including figures, tables, and references.

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, 1.15 line spacing, in two-column layout.

  • Figures and tables must be numbered, titled clearly, and placed close to their first reference in the text.

  • Citations and references should follow the latest edition of IEEE Style.

5. Publication Ethics

  • Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from all forms of plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25% will be automatically rejected.

  • For multi-author papers, all listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the content of the manuscript.

  • Any conflicts of interest that may affect the interpretation of data must be clearly stated.

6. Review Process

  • Each manuscript will be reviewed by two qualified peer reviewers in the relevant scientific field.

  • The review process is double-blind, meaning both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

  • The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not align with the journal’s focus and scope or fail to comply with these guidelines.

7. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) at: (Insert Your Journal URL)

  • Authors must register before submitting their manuscript.

8. Publication Fees

  • Currently, there are no submission fees or article processing charges (APC) for this journal.

9. Copyright and License

  • Articles published in this journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

  • Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right to publish and distribute the article.
